Is it possible to get zits on your penis?

I mean this in the most mature, adult way; is it possible to get zits on your penis? I am a little nervous cuz I noticed a red bump on the base of my penis that is growing. It reminds me exactly of a zit. Round and red, with a little yellow in the middle. I hope it's nothing serious. I know it's nothing as far as a disease cuz I'm a virgin. Thanks for any help.Is it possible to get zits on your penis?
Yes, it's possible. Anywhere there's skin, there are pores that can get clogged and dirty, thus, there's the possibility of getting zits. Since you're a virgin, that's most likely what it is.

While I was typing this, I noticed a couple of other post. Jersey gave some good advice on hand washing! I always wash my hands before going to the bathroom, especially in a public restroom! (because I know where my hands have been!)Is it possible to get zits on your penis?
I know that you can get herpes down there but I don't know about zits. Check with your dermatologist.
yes it might just be a pimple. but do keep an eye on it. if you see that it gets worst, have it checked out. sure it's nothing to be worried about. It happens to most of us.
yes, it is possible and probable that you will get some
well if you have zits on your penis then get it checked out it could be herpes........
The word Virgin is pretty misleading and there are different justifications for it. If you have never penetrated a vagina, then yes, you are a virgin. If you have had oral sex with someone, and not penetrated a vagina, then yes...you are a virgin. If someone has sucked you and they have some type of herpes, then yes...you could still be a virgin and have herpes on your penis. Like the others have said...get it checked. Don't want to spread something to another person.
you better get it checked by a doctor...
yes it is! Wash your hands before going to the bathroom

How to get rid of zits and pimples over night?

My forehead has been breaking out alot lately and I want to get rid of it. I heard from someone that if I put toothpaste on the acne areas it helps it clear up over night. Is this true and are there any other things like this that I can do?How to get rid of zits and pimples over night?
I've experienced problem skin too and I tried using toothpaste aggges ago but it didn't work at all.

I would recommend steaming your face to open the pores. You can use a steamer or just literally boil the kettle, pour water into a bowl and position your face over the top so the steam can get to it.

Then apply an overnight blemish product. Because the pores are open, the product is absorbed better.

Or you could use a daily exfoliant to unclog pores and remove dead skills cells and dirt which lead to spots.

Hope this helps!

:)How to get rid of zits and pimples over night?
you can not get rid of zits over night, i know how you feel trying to get rid of them. You can put cream on it and it will dry up the zit. You should wash for face before you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning. If the zit is still there you can try to cover it up with make-up. These thing should help you with your zits and pimples.
toothpaste works because it sucks all of the dirt from your face but only use mint and dont use the gel kind(the kind that is clear ish) because it doesnt work
You can't. Go to a dermatologist! They do say if you put tooth paste on the pimple it dries out the sucker.
yeah there is a reallly good way ill magicly wave my wand over your face -.-

What is the best way to keep my skin free of zits?

Are there any really good home remidies, or good products? What is the best way to keep my skin free of zits?
Depending on your skin type, you may never be completely free of blemishes, but, you can do your part by drinking lots of water, eating a balanced diet, and cleansing your face with gentle products 1-2 times per day, or as needed if you tend to be oily. What is the best way to keep my skin free of zits?
Drinking plenty of water, avoid oily food, n cleanse daily to avoid zits n break outs. If you see a new breakout, cut a piece of garlic n softly rub it on the infected area, leave for a while like 10 mins. Then wash your face. Repeat this about 3 times a day. I've tried this a numbe rof times and the zit disappears without leaving a mark. :)
I use Proactive.I was sceptical at first cause you buy it off TV,but it IS really good.I alternate it every second day with another cleanser and my skin has never been better.
Some good info already. Also, keep your hands off your face. Wash face with hot water to open and clean pores. Then follow with cold water to close your pores back up. Use an astringent like witch hazel after washing. There are rice papers on the market that you can use during the day if you can't wash your face. They will absorb the oils from your face. If you haven't already, stop using face makeup as this helps to clog your pores. Limit oily foods like fries and pizza. Exercise and sweat out as much impurities as possible.
wash yiour face as much as your can with water and drink lots of water
Wash your face with cold water every morning. I know it sounds strange, but it is actually the best remedy. It helps keep them away. Make sure it is cold and not warm and make sure you do this before you apply make up because it might smear it. But cold water gets down into your skin and thorougly cleanses your skin. Another thing that I would use as a apprentice to the water, would be those Neutrogena pads that you run under the water and they get soapy. Rub that on your face ,and then wash it off with cold water. I'm telling you! It really works. I have gotten rid of like 20 pimples and zits this way!
Growing up I had the worst acne. Myself I grew out of it I am now 17 and zit free but everyone is different. I use to wear alot of make up and sleeping with make up on causes the worst break outs. Cover up or consealer are the wrost. When ever your at home and not going out wash your make up off never sleep with make up on. The trick I use to use was tooth paste. Dap a bit on the pimple and it dryed the pimple out and takes the redness away. Also baking soda and water. Mis together to make almost a thick creem and put over all pimples sleep over night. This dryes the pimples out and makes them less visable. Dont ever pick or pop your pimples or your will end up with scars. There is no way to get rid of scars you have to grow out of them. But lemon juice bleches the sick so the scars are less visable....Just keep your face clean and try not to wear make up to sleep or working out.

How can I make my zits dissapear?

Hey I have always had trouble with acne, but this time I want it gone since school is almost here. I start in one week exactly.

How can I make it all dissapear by then? What foods should I eat, for example? My shampoo is Herbal Essences, is that what's causing a breakout on my forehead and hairline? HELP!

I don't want medicines, I already have a ton, such as Clearasil, Buf Puffs, a cleanser, a face lotion, and more.

I also use foundation to cover up my zits. I use it only when neccessary, but is it clogging up my pores? How can I make my zits dissapear?
I used to have bad acne... use things that aren't oily... avoid food like pizza and fries...

I use Clearasil Ultra. It's about $12 Canadian but it works for me! Also, if you put toothpaste on the zit overnight, it'll dry it up apparently... that never worked for me but it might for you.

And if you don't have to go out or anything, don't even put on foundation and wash your face a lot.

Also, keep your hair out of your face and try not to touch your face a lot. Your hands and hair have natural oils that will clog pores. Maybe put your hair up.

And phisoderm is supposed to be good. I haven't tried it, but it might be worth a shot.

Good luck!

p.s. Drink lots of water too!How can I make my zits dissapear?
crush up asprin and make a paste with it by mixing with alittle bit of water. then put it on wherever you need it. leave it on initl it dries and itll come off by itself. and eat healthy food and drink alor if water. :]

putting foundation is really bad for your skin. especially if its liquid concealer. it will clog your pores. use a light powder like bare minerals. that works really well and itll also help your skin! good luck in school. i hope this will work! :]]
use a clay mask twice a week, and in fact, every night just put a blop of mask on your big zits, this will help them heal up quickly.

I also use Apple cider vinegar after I wash my face morning and night, just put some on a cotton ball or something and wipe your face with it, its really good at evening out the skin tone (taking the redness out) and keeping the oil and impurities out too.

I think it fights bacteria maybe, I don't know. But my skin has gotten a lot better since using it regularly - it does smell though but as long as you don't mind vinegar its okay.
I don't think that diet has much to do with acne. But try using different shampoos, and washing your hair frequently, and steer clear of any hair products that can leave a greasy film on your forehead.
go to a dermatoligist

it really helped me
when you wash your hair, do you tip your head forward and put it under the showerhead? If you do, stop. Tilt your head back to stop the shampoo from getting on it. Cut 3 cloves of garlic into pills and swallow them. Do this daily.

    raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar

to open the pores and loosen dirt and grease from your face turn off the heat from a pan of distilled water, add 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar to a quart of the hot water. drape a towel over the pan and your head to steam clean your pores. take a cotton ball, dip in vinegar and pat over skin to remove loosened dirt. repeat 2 more times. then spray or dab on chilled vinegar and equal part of distilled water to close your pores and tone your skin. do twice weekly, also can use the chilled vinegar water as a toner 2 times daily.

    it is amazing ....

    raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar

use this apple cider vinegar for rejuvenating results. first, wash the skin in warm water, no soap. next, apply a wrung out hot water soaked cloth to the face for 3 minutes, then remove. soak thin cloth in warm vinegar water 2 tbsp per cup of water and again apply to face. cover the vinegar soaked cloth with a towel wrung out in hot water, relax and lie down for 10 minutes or more, if possible with feet elevated above head. remove both cloths and gently rub skin upwards with towel or small loofah face pad. this rub removes the hundreds of dry skin scales. you can repeat this weekly or as needed. your skin will look youthful and beautiful..

i also drink the vinegar, 1-2 tablespoons in water with honey in the morning..and i use the vinegar water as a toner 2 times daily..

good luckWhat is the best and cheapest way to get rid of zits fast?

How do you wash your face regularly to get rid of your zits?

I was just wondering what other ppl out there do when they wash their faces to keep zits off.

    How often do you wash?

Do you do it with a speial sponge or wash cloth?

Give me the detailsHow do you wash your face regularly to get rid of your zits?
I wash my face twice daily, using a cleanser that does not have an alcohol base, because alcohol dries out your skin and can actually produce more oil. I use a washcloth and after I wash my face, I usually use a moisturizer to prevent my skin from drying out. Believe it or not, dry skin can actually cause acne. How do you wash your face regularly to get rid of your zits?
Wash your face with a good face wash every morning and night.

The Clean and Clear products work really well.

I used to use a wash rag, but then my friend told me that that makes the cleaner clog your pores.

So I just splash water in my face and use my hands.

    ♥ xoxo
You know, you don't even have to wash your face to get rid of acne......Theirs a site I gave you that explain the real cause of acne......
    umm morning and night

i use a cleanser and then a scrub and then moisturizer =] [sometimes]

    and clear pimple cream

    haha
You wash it in the shower with your hands but wipe off with wet rag. Then you make sure not to touch it because you have oil on your hands and that stuff. Then right before you go to bed make sure you wash your face and do that every day!!
I exfoliate and cleanse in the shower in the morning, then moisturise afterwards and then put on my makeup.

In the evening before bed I take off by makeup and clease once more.

I recommend using Neutrogena daily acne wash. It costs about $15 and amazingly clears up oil!

I just use a normal face washer to wet my face with warm water before cleansing at night.

Its good to cleanse during your morning shower as you don't need a face washer, just use your hands.

    Goodluck!

PS I exfoliate with Neutrogena daily facial scrub.
    morning, night

    you use your hands

wet them, use your hands to wet your face. Then put some cleanser in your hands and rub it all over your face. then wash that off with more water and dry with a washcloth

thats how i do it anyway
Use Noxzema skin cream in morning and at night after that use sea breeze skin cleanser then put on ur favorite lotion all for sensitive skin.
Neutrogena acne wash in the am and night. also put a moisterizer on b/f bed
You should use clean and clear facial cleanser in the morning and in the night. it works trust me i have beautiful skin or use clearasil pads
If you have lots of zits you should get some acme medication wash stuff, and avoid touching your face. if you are trying to avoid acme just wash your face twice a day and avoid touching your face.
    morning %26amp; night,

    rinse with water only.

occasionally put on aloe vera as moisturizer at night.
    twice a day with cetaphil

(no sponge or wash cloth because scrubbing is too harsh and will only make your skin more oily)
no soap or anything 4 times a day in the morning at school when i get home and at night not zits so far only a few pimples during teens
Twice a day with neutrogena face wash you don't need a special sponge or wash cloth as this face wash has little beads in it.
I have spent thousands of dollars and I swear I've used everything out there. My dermotologist got me to start using a face wash called Cetaphil. It is really good for ppl with really sensitive skin.

    I wash morning and night.

I wash with my hands only. I wash my hands with mild hand soap first; then wet my face. Then take a little of Cetaphil on my fingers and rub it around my hands. Then do little circles with my finger tips. Then rinse hands and splash face with clean water.

Then I dry with a clean towel.

    Wah-Lah!
morn and night soap and water
Don't over wash your face. Every morning and every night good enough. No special sponge needed. A regular wash cloth will do. I use Neutrogena and my skin is clear.
wash 2 times a day, and stop touching it. i mean it.
i wash my face twice a day

and the face wash i use has glycolic acid in it

i just use a regular wash cloth

and i also use acne creams to help prevent/ get rid of it =]
buy some clearasil acne clearing gel wash, and use it once @ moring and once @ nite. it works wonders - u start seeing the results after the 1st day. :)

    tooth paste works great

dont leave it on for over an hour

and wash your face before you go anywhere

    and also take advil

it makes you notice it less which helps confidence

and that will make it go away
    dont use clearsil
    tooth paste

How do I get rid of zits and blackheads?

I was wondering if anyone knew any ';tricks'; to getting ride of zits, pimples, and blackheads. I use Clinique facial products and I use Cetiphil lotion everyday. But I still have blackheads around my nose [ nostriles ]. I need something thats works really quick. I have heard of some that work overnight... but I forgot them... does anyone know any quick ways to get rid of blackheads, or zits? How do I get rid of zits and blackheads?
    Pro-activ.

It seriously works. It worked miracles for me.How do I get rid of zits and blackheads?
I tried the Clean%26amp;Clear Blackhead Clearing Scrub, and although it doesn't completely get rid of blackheads, it definitely makes them look smaller. It also helps clear other acne.

My daily skincare routine is wash (with a warming scrub, the C%26amp;C BCS, and another product to finish), then use toner (I use Olay Refreshing Toner) to remove all other traces of makeup, dirt and soap scum, and finish with a salicylic acid moisturizer that doesn't dry out my skin (I like Clean%26amp;Clear's Daily Moisturizer with salicylic acid). Another trick to get your skin really clean is to start by splashing your face with warm water to open pores, and when you're done, splash cold water on your face to close your pores.

Plus, a good spot treatment is gold when it comes to fighting acne. I use Clearasil Acne Treatment Cream- it works pretty quickly to reduce redness, although it takes longer to actually clear the acne.

For blackheads, here is a good facial:

    1) Wash your face with a salicylic acid cleanser.

    2) Steam face for five minutes to open pores. (Just boil some water and put it in a pot or a bowl. To create steam, simply blow on the hot water!)

    3) Exfoliate your face with a good scrub (again, I use C%26amp;C BCS)

    4) Moisturize with an oil-free face lotion.

You can do the same for zits and whiteheads, just add in a clay mask after exfoliating.

    Hope that helps!
well, to keep healthy skin.. try not to use so many different products.. use one, let your face get use to it. it may break out for a day or so, then your face will get accustomed to it.. and stick to it.. changing products is the main problem.. be consistent

You might be over-moisterizing your skin. DO NOT pop them, this will result in scars and they will come back. Try something designed for specifically blackheads or acne. Pore Refining Cleanser from Neutrogena is fantabulous and Clear Pore too.
I finally broke down and bought my daughter Proactive 3 weeks ago, it runs about $20 a month. Her acne is chronic which she inherited from her dad, and she started getting it at 9 y/o. So far I see a big difference, I can also get my $$ back if it doesn't work. It is worth it to me for her to have healthy skin, plus having acne just sucks bad. I have heard you have to use it religiously 2x everyday, and she does. She did get some drying at first, but not anymore. She has tried those knock-offs from the drug store, and had no results. You should at least try it, if it doesn't work they will give you a refund.
well, what you can use is clean and clear thatz whst wrks for me! but first check to see if your alergict to it cuz it'll be much worse if you are
Awww... everyone needs to quit saying proactive, I used the stuff, have you? It's too drying to you skin...do you want your skin to flake? There are way to many ';one size fits all'; acne solutions and skin cares out there. See a specialist like a dermatologist, Esthetican... or at least a personal skin care consultant like me to determine what your specific skin care needs are. Email me I'll help you.
For blackheads, I like to use the Biore Deep cleansing pore strips. It's soooooooo cool b/c you see them on the strip. They look like a little city. I also like to use Queen Helene's Mint Julep Mask, works wonders. Let me know how it goes.
    pro-activ.
As far as a ';quick-fix,'; you only have a few options:

If you can't stand the blackheads, you can use one of those extraction devices, but I would advise using warm water to open up your pores first. Still, there is a risk of scarring, but less than if you use your fingernails.

Also, there are those Biore strips you put on your nose or face and they are supposed to pull out the blackheads, although honestly that's never really worked for me.

Another thing is a device called Zeno Acne Clearing device which is supposed to clear up a pimple in 24-48 hours, but this item is a little pricey.

Personally, I use Differin gel for my acne, and it does a good job. Years ago, I used to have much worse acne and the only thing that worked for me back then was Accutane.

    Anyway, hope this helps...

(Oh, and BTW, I don't like Cetaphil lotion. If your skin is prone to breakouts, you will probably have to be extremely selective in facial moisturizers.)
Do not pick at your zits/steam them no matter what because it will result in scarring and huge pores which are difficult to close. At certain dermatologists have used liquid nitrogen to close the pores but even that helps little. Biore strips do not get to the root and does not completely remove the zit. Avoid touching your face as this will only transfer the bacteria from your hands to your face. Microderm abrasion is very harsh on acne prone skin. Cetaphil has a great cleanser too one that moisturizes while not clogging pores. As for the overnight home remedies...I have heard but not tried the following: lemon oatmeal pastes, an olive oil and sea salt scrub, honey and mashed banana, a tomato cucumber flour mask, and applying toothpaste to the affected areas...... Good look with the acne!
how do u get rid of zits and blackheads well 1. quit eating greasy foods and Junkfood all the time 2. its called oxy or something like acne medicine to help you get rid of it
exfoiliate atleast once a week and try biore nose strips
Blackheads - you must get a facial - no ifs ands or buts. Not only that but they can also give you advice on how to treat your acne. What you might be using may not be helping you. Try proactiv!

How can I get rid of zits this big and icky?

I have relatively clear skin, not face-full-of-boil kinda zits. However, for some reason, a big red one appeared on the side of my nose. I cleaned my face each night when it appeared, then applyed salicylic acid on it once a day. It's gone, after I picked at it for two weeks. Now a new one appeared on the other side of my nose, and this one is worse. BEWARE: TMI APPROACHING! It's big, white, and icky. I do the same thing, clean my face and apply salicylic acid-based medication. There is no sign of change after a week, and I think it's getting bigger. What can I do to save my face before I resort to picking.

PS: I'm talking about a change in my routine or somethin. I cannot get new kinds of medication, cleanser, etc. Don't suggest stuff like ProActive, Differin, etc, etc, etc, I can't get anything new. If you're desperate to help, I might think about it.How can I get rid of zits this big and icky?

    47. Honey is a great remedy for skin blemishes and acne because the honey kills bacteria.

These are some effective home remedies for the treatment of acne and blackheads.

We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne has usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

    1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

    2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

hope this works!!!!How can I get rid of zits this big and icky?
very thorough ... this is probably the best answer on ';yahoo answers'; i would give a five for this answer as well, if i could rate. Report Abuse

I've found the best thing to do to just to let them be - they make take a few weeks, but they go away. It might be due to a big change you've made recently, the change in the weather, etc. just be sure to keep your face really clean in the summer!

The thing I've found that works the best is to use a regular cleanser, etc, but then (you'll have to go to a doctor and get a prescription, but it's common and a family doctor will prescribe it) apply clindamycin phosphate. it's only a few dollars, with insurance, so it's actually cheaper than buying some over the counter products!
you'll need to grow up if you're still young. that may be most of the problem. it just takes time.
Go to a dermatologist. It would take some more time to heal.

I tried using Acnopur emergency anti-acne treatment gel, it worked well for me. Zits are not so swollen overnight. In 2-3 days time it's totally gone. Maybe you can give it a try...
    Wash Right:

Wash your face regularly, not more than 3 times a day, unless you're living in a highly humid and/or polluted city which requires more washing to unclog pores. The best way to wash the face is to first lather your face-wash in your hands, apply it to wet skin and rinse. Pat dry. Scrubbing only aggravates the skin and causes further problems.

    Cleansing Routine:

Cleanse, tone and moisturise your face twice a day. Don't skip the moisturising step even if you have oily skin - just use an oil-free moisturiser.

    Exposure to the elements:

Avoid exposing your skin to the harsh elements. If you are going for a long drive, roll up your window slightly, so your face doesn't get plummeted by the wind, especially in polluted towns.

    Water:

Drink plenty of water to detox your system. Impure blood and poor circulation is one of the primary causes of acne.

    Eat Right:

Unless you are allergic to certain foods, eating junk food doesn't lead to the formation of pimples. But overeating certain foods, especially heating foods like chocolates and mangoes, can lead to an overnight zit congregation.

    Good luck hun xx
Have you been to a dermatoligist? I had a terrible problem with acne which was only solved by taking Accutane.

  • Why do you i keep getting zits in my arm pits, how do i get rid of them?

I don't understand why i have them! Its not my razor, is it my deotorant i have the most sensative skin EVER maybe its that but how do i get rid of them, should i wax?Why do you i keep getting zits in my arm pits, how do i get rid of them?
Are you sure its not razor burn? Try using a deodorant for sensitive skin and a shave gel for sensitive skin. Try using a seperate razor for your pits then you use on your legs. Also look for creams or lotions you can use to help alleviate whats going on. You could try waxing but might want to have a professional do it at least the first time if you have such sensitive skin. Why do you i keep getting zits in my arm pits, how do i get rid of them?
Try different deodorants until you find one that doesn't clog your pores.

What can you do with zits, oily sking, black heads and all that?

I don't mean cream treatments, I already do proactive, but like massaging or scrapping, I don't know.... Or perhaps some kind of home solution? Aloe? Any suggestions? What can you do with zits, oily sking, black heads and all that?
proactivWhat can you do with zits, oily sking, black heads and all that?
oil skin - no cure you can buy oil film from famous brand names.

Zits- your food intake , eat vegetable and drink water- water helps clense your system. Buy clenser from famous brand name

Black-head- if you have moeny try beauty salon they clean it all up in 3 visit.

If you have alot of pimples - its part of puperty or your diet.
Exfoliate once a week, when you get a large pimple put vinegar on it, make sure your skin is moisturized. When your skin is dry your body naturally sends a signal that it needs moisture and it gives extra that is not needed....which leads to more breakouts. Don't scrub or pick your skin, you will get scars and irritate it even more.
try taking vitamin c and drinking lots of water ... also, cardio exercise helps - you sweat out impurities
try clearasil, i use it, and it works pretty good.
exfoliation and don't use any oil products. you'd be surprised how many so called acne products contain some kind of oil. you can't strip your skin too much either because then it will produce a surplus of it's own oil and that can cause more comedones.
    face wash
The best acne treatment I've used is the Zenmed Dermacleanse system. I had pretty severe acne a couple of years back, and after trying numerous treatments with little to no results, I heard of Dermacleanse. Dermacleanse is not some new product from another face-wash manufacturer, it has been sold and proven effective over almost 50 years.

Oily skin - exfoliating works best as a quick treatment. But the best preventive action is to always use plenty of hot water and soap when cleaning the skin. Using more soap helps drying your skin out, lessening the oilyness.

Check out my sources link for a lot more in-depth information on treatments you can try.
Just use a good quality soap and water, be sure to rinse thoroughly. You must also watch your diet. Less sugary, and fatty foods. Stay away from fast food and have fresh fruit instead. What you see on the outside is reflected by what you eat. It won't be long before you are beautiful again.
    try using it more frequently
Use face wash!!! St. Ive's Apricot scrub is AMAzing (twice a day!) O, and don't touch your face (germs) and drink lots of water!
Your avatar looks so mad. Very intimidating.
Keep your skin as clean as possible no foundation, it doesn't really hide the problem. Food is often the problem. You have to start the old elimination diet, one food at a time to see what the allergy might be. Milk and milk products are big one and of course junk food
over night put some honey on your zit and cover it with a bandage

and for blackheads buy some nose strips they come right off you can buy them at VONS .
鈥loe Vera gel works really well :]

[make sure to get the clear one- not the green one [[has green coloring in it x[ ]] ]

鈥ub sugar on ur face to get rid of the oils; keep it on for about 3-5 min.; then rinse off [u can use cleanser if u'd like to :] ]

鈥 knoe u said no cream treatments; but i have this cleanser/mask it's amazing! i used so many things to get rid of the blackheads but this works so well :] it's called.. NEUTROGENA: CLEAR PORE Cleanser/Mask
OK..............Definitely get this. I use it all the time and works really good. It is Biore Nose Strips. They take the black heads out realy good. Also for the skin, try using Tumeric Powder mixed with water and apply it to face and massage and then rinse it off. you can find Tumeric Powder in Indian grocery stores. It is dark yellowish color.
toothpaste dries out black heads and zits. although oily skin is somthing your body makes internaly and no matter how much you take off the surface your body makes more! good luck!
    use OLAY... its effective.
    you should ask your derm

because mixing other meds with proactiv can make it worse
i use an advocado mask it actually they say takes a layer of dead skin off and it always leaves my skin soft. also u can use the blackhead strips too, they work really good. i no u can get them at walgreens
Here's how to get rid of it quickly and safely:

    1. Don't ever pinch, squeeze or pick at a pimple. This only causes it to become more red and inflamed, and will spread the bacteria and oils that caused it in the first place, to other parts of your face! It can also lead to scars.

    2. Every 30 minutes, apply an ice pack to the pimple and hold it there for about 2 minutes. This will decrease the swelling and redness and help shrink the inflammation and pain that sometimes comes along with it.

    3. They don't call it concealer for nothing! Covering the pimple with a light dose of flesh-tinted concealer can help mask it when you're in a hurry. It also helps cover up that oily shine.

    4. Cleanse your skin 2-3 times a day with mild, unscented soap or a specialized acne cleanser that has no harsh chemicals (such as lye). Scrub skin gently with an exfoliating pad or washcloth, but don't rub too hard, otherwise you'll sap your skin of its own natural oils, which help to repel buildup naturally.

    5. Apply a cream or ointment containing benzyl peroxide or salicylic acid (many over-the-counter acne medicines contain these ingredients) to the blemish or around the entire facial area. Note that these ingredients both have a tendency to dry out skin if used too much and are not recommended if you have sensitive skin.

    6. Wear oil-free makeup whenever possible. These types have less of a tendency to cause the pore buildup that results in blemishes. Remove your makeup nightly and cleanse with an acne-fighting medicine to remove dirt, oil and makeup from deep within the skin.

    7. If you're in need of a quick fix, a dab of toothpaste on the affected area right before bed can help soothe irritation and reduce redness. Pressing and holding a wet tea bag or a cotton ball with a dab of lemon juice against the blemish for five minutes can also reduce swelling and redness.

If you follow these tips, chances are you'll notice a significant difference rather quickly - often within a day or two. If pimples become a recurring problem or worsen, your doctor or dermatologist can suggest a daily skin cleansing routine that will suit your skin type. Other long-term remedies, such as facial masks, diet adjustments and increasing the amount of water you drink can also help combat outbreaks.
    face masks.

or anything else that will dry out your skin.
apple cider vinegar (yes, I know it smells terrible) works wonders for black heads or forming zits; just apply some liberally to the affected area before you go to bed, and it should clear up all uncomplicated acne. Another smart thing to do is use an exfoliating face was containing salicylic acid (st. ives apricot face scrub has one that is speciallized for acne prone skin); it really helps to even out skin tone, remove excess oil and slough away dead skin cells.
use an apricot or papaya facial scrub, or something thats got grainy stuff in it.

change your diet too so youre not eating anything with grease or fats in it.

drink lots of water and workout so youre sweating more, or go in a sauna. use some of those biore strips, and get a facial
I don't even wanna give you the wrong answer... leave it to the pros. I found this awesome skin care and health website. I guarantee it will help :)
Depending on your age, take the birth control pill, find the right one, and you wont even need proactive, although the blackheads, I use biore warming anti-black head cleanser, and those strip things.
    Don't pick at them.

But, weekly, you can try a treatment where you put this stuff on your face, let it dry, and peel it off.

It removes dead skin cells, which prevents acne.
those nose strips work pretty well
astringent works for me, although it does dry out my face. this is ol school but toothpaste works also! My mom had me try this! I have a lot of buddies taht use proactive, too pricey for me though.
I HAVE MEXICAN FRIENDS THAT SAY THAT ZITS GO AWAY WHEN U HAVE A LOT OF SEX
    eat them lol

What are some good tips and treatments for getting rid of zits?

proactive--for concealer go to the MAC store at the mall and they give you the best one for your skin type and color. Mine is the only one that works for me. lately for stubborn zits I use naturopathica mass extract. It is very expensive for a tiny canister but it works and lasts long. I use ProActiv. It works really well. So well I'm to the point of not having to use cover up. It's great stuff.
Take Zinc Gluconate, it is a form of Zinc that fights acne from the inside. Also, if you workout, or sweat,,, make sure you have a gentle facewash (a small bottle) on you, and a little towel, so you can gently wash your face after sweating.

Also, a little sun can help, a lot of sun can hurt the skin
Salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide are great for zits. If you don't have all over acne, then spot treatments are probably best. Other then that, wash your face twice daily, use a gentle scrub once a week to de-clog pores, and use a light moisturizer twice a day to shield your skin.

There are some great options available at:

    www.beautipage.com/andrea_piper

I can customize a system just for you.
Aspirin mask helps dry up pimples.

Crush 8-10 regular aspirin (not Tyenol or ibuprofen!)

Add a few drops of hot water to make a paste.

Spread of the face and let it dry about 10-30 mins.

Wash off with a warm moist washcloth.

This will not only dry up pimples/acne but smooth the face.
clearasil and coverup in the mean time
I've found that not putting anything too strong on my skin helps it clear up faster!

i used to use clearasil's 10% benzoyl peroxide stop treatment every night and woke up with a irritated face!

now when i break out, i use OXY brand daily face wash, which is %10 benzoyl peroxide. next time you go to target or walmart, check out the ';arctic chill'; version -- it leaves your skin feeling SO clean and cool!

if i'm not really broken out, i use target brand blackhead clearing scrub, which was like $3 and works better than any scrub i've ever used!

i never put any sort of cream on my face at night except sometimes a light moisturizer, so my skin can breathe.

in the morning, i wash my face then apply i.d.'s bare vitamins skin rever-upper, which contains salicylic and glycolic acid to clear up your skin without being too harsh. it's about $21 for a little pump, but it lasts for a super long time, then apply a normal moisturizer.

when it comes to cover up, try clinique. i mix their skin clarifying foundation with their dewy anti-aging foundation and LOVE it! you're killing two birds with one stone : breakouts and wrinkles. it ends up covering up really well and lasts all day without feeling or looking cakey or heavy. i know that the clarifying foundation is $19, but i'm not sure how much the anti-aging one is. check it out!

sorry if i was rambling a bit, haha, i hope this helped! take care.
i just started using clearasil and it's working pretty well so far
    Toothpaste. Drys them right up!
To cover up get concealer that is one shade lighter than your natural skin tone, and foundation that matches your skin tone. Dust on a little bronzer and your good to go.
    soak them in cider
One way is to go to Wal-mart and get something that says clearasil daily acne control. If you wash your face before you wipe your face down with with the pad's it works really good on your skin.

Is there a quick and easy way to get rid or zits and blackheads?

I have tried everything I can possibly think of and none of my zits or blackheads are going away! It feels like this is taking over my life, any suggestions? Is there a quick and easy way to get rid or zits and blackheads?
Go to the dr. and get antibiotic , It really helps. Is there a quick and easy way to get rid or zits and blackheads?
I assume you are using some form of product. If so, then the question you must ask yourself is, do I leave it on long enough?

My answer WAS no. I washed my face when I got up and before going to bed and my skin was showing no signs of improvement, but you must be sure to leave the product on long enough for your skin to burn! No pain no gain.

Second, is your forehead a problem area? If so you then, I'm guessing you have fringes (bangs). If so, pull them out of your face every once in a while. What I do is put a barrette to keep my bangs from my face when I go to sleep. And my forehead has improved so much with these two simple steps. You have to commit to washing your face at least twice a day.

For faster results, the secret is lemon juice. Can't guaranty anything, not everyone's skin reacts the same but it's proven that the acid from the lemon juice can help treat oily skin (hence those pesky zits).

I recommend Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash

And for those obvious zits that you want to get rid of quickly, I recommend Clearasil Ultra Vanishing Treatment Cream.

  • What is the best way to get rid of zits?

I tried products from the store but it makes break out more..My skin is pretty sensitive. I'm thinking of trying proactive but i'm not sure. What is the best way to get rid of zits?
I have used proactive ever since high school. It helps alot but didn't completely cure mine so don't go in it with full expectation. Proactive should definitely help though. If not, you can just send back the bottles and get a refund! I believe that's their guarentee. Check for sure though. I still use proactive just b/c it's become a normal routine for me. I've used it for about 8 years i guess. My skin is great now with the occasional pimple, but for the mostpart it's awesome. Acne is something you will grow out of too. Also, if you ever get any red scarring from acne, dab some ';mederma'; on the red scar every night and that stuff works like magic! When my acne cleared up I had some scarring and I used that stuff and I have absolutely no scars now. My skin is amazing. That mederma stuff is awesome. Good luck! What is the best way to get rid of zits?
    * proactive will work amazing - ly

    * if you have 100 to spend - go get a ZENO look it up on the internet as well.. i have one and i love it to death

    * if its one or two - tooth paste works the best
i would try proactive...my friend used it and she had a pizza face...and now her face is absolutely beautiful and zit free
    Proactive solution or proactive mask
Go for it ! Proactive is awesome and if you don't want to spend all the money on it CVS or Walgreen's has a knock off brand that has the same ingredients in it an the same amounts as proactive. Give it a try !
Yeah i agree with that one comment...use honey. Its natural and keeps your face smooth and not oily. After you wash it off use proactive or biore........both awesome
This is going to sound really strange, but use honey. Put honey on at night, and put a bandage or something over them or wear in the morning for about twenty minutes before your shower.
wash your face, keep dirty hands off ur face
    wash your face
Proactiv tears your skin and permanently damages it. While you might not see the differences on the surface for a good ten or so years, you will regret it later. Top facialists say not to use it becuase there are way too many chemicals. You should try acne free. It is not as harsh and while it still has the same acne medications the other ingredients are different.
I heard Proactiv works well, but as much as I've heard it works, I've heard it doesn't work. So if you're willing to risk it, go ahead and order Proactiv. Also, the best thing to do if you have sensitive skin is to go see a dermatologist. They can help you find ac acne treatment that is right for you.
Proactiv Solution is an acne treatment system that cures acne in 3 steps. It works as a combination therapy to cure acne. It is an excellent method of treatment that has proved its effectiveness. You can purchase this system as a special 30 day trial pack or a full version for 60 days.
    Proactive

    Or Clearasil Wipe Pads

    I Use Clearasil

And My Mom Uses Proactiv They Both Work Very Well
dont try proactive! I got it and it dryed my skin out!!!! I use a drop of clearasil every morning/night and it works! and then make sure you change your sheets regularly. oh and dont tough your face alot b/c the dirt from your hands gets on it.
I used to have an acne problem and the doctor prescribed a cream. its called duac topical gel. I wash my face with neutrogena then apply the cream. it really did help clear up my face
I learned this from Tyra Banks...

    1. wash your face w/ acne soap and make sure is clean. add toner.

    2. get 2 of the cotton stinks (for cleaning ears) and squeeze your pimple

    3. Genly wipe your face w/ a clean towel or the facial wipes that they sell in Wallmart for like $4.

    either way get Proative
if you want to go out, used makeup just kidding. proativ is better.
    Pop them lol
That's the million dollar question! I have a lot of zits too, but there's just nothing that seem to work. I've been to the dermatologist and he gave me some stuff, but it hasn't done anything except make my acne worse. I wouldn't recomend ProActive either, it worked for the first couple months, but after that my face got used to it and it didn't work at all. It's just something we have to live with, no matter how much we hate it.

What part of your body do you love to get zits and pop them?

Personally, I love the ones that are next to your chin and up a little. They pop soooooo gooooooood! I also like the ones on my groin area. What part of your body do you love to get zits and pop them?
I guess this is a current event question because you currently have an acne outbreak? Anyway, you know you shouldn't pop your zits - it'll just leave a scar or get an infection, so ......

    1. Stop popping

    2. Stop asking gross questions

Thank you (particularly for the 2nd one). What part of your body do you love to get zits and pop them?
i don't like to get acne and i sure don't pop them if and when i get one.i leave it alone so it will go AWAY.
My nose! i love sitting there and popping them! it is gross though but fun!
The ones on your girlfriends butt
neither, I don't pop my zits. They can scar your skin!
none really.though my girlfriend loves popping my back pimples. i thinks its gross. but i love her
    0_o

I tried using Proactiv but I found that the Repairing Lotion really irritated my skin and made me break out in a rash. So now I'm using the Proactiv Cleanser morning and night and then I use the Mario Badescu healing cream in the morning with my moisturizer and at night by itself. I also use the Mario Badescu drying lotion.

I've only been using the MB products for a week but I do think that the healing cream has helped my skin. My skin was really red before and it seems to be healing now.

    Hope this helps!
proactive! i knwo they have crazy commercials by it but i swear by it

if you go to a dermotologist they can give you something strong for zits too!
Ones that are prescribed by a dermatologist (skin doctor) work great.
Proactiv, it works just like they claim on TV. I've got adult acne and have been using it for 2 years. You need to use it twice a day like they say to though or you'll get nasties on your face. Has a clean scent, doesn't dry my skin, isn't greasy or oily, and last it really works.

How do i keep my face cleanse and free of zits ?

I always have times where my face just goes boom with zits, must the time i don't worry about it and do nothing and don't get them but i play sports and etc.. I just got some stuff called Noxzema face cleaner shower stuff and i don't know if theres anything better and effectively fast?

ThanksHow do i keep my face cleanse and free of zits ?
Are you male/female? Do you have hair on your face?

You should get a facial and ask for advice. If you insist on bypassing that find Clearasil Ultra Cleansing gel wash.

http://www.clearasil.us/cleansers/cleansers_ultra_gelwash.shtmlHow do i keep my face cleanse and free of zits ?
Use PanOxyl it has 2.5 % Benzoyl Peroxide( you can get it at wal mart for $10) use it in the morning and then use Tea Tree Oil in the afternoon and then use the PanOxyl again right before you go to bed. Try to take Vitamins if you can. They will also help to clear your skin. Wash your pillow case eveyweek. Try not to touch your face or let your hair touch your face. And drink lots of water

How can i make zits less noticiable by tmrw?

I have a date and I have quite a bit of NOTICIABLE zits on my face... we are going swimming so i think i can kinda deter the looks from my face. But i dont wanna be nasty looking for the girl either. So if you can tell me something quick that lasts just to even the tiniest bit less red or bumpy or w/e by tmrw id really really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. How can i make zits less noticiable by tmrw?
Try tanning it will make your skin a little darker and hopefully blend the pimples in a bit more. How can i make zits less noticiable by tmrw?
if its red use Visin the red eye drop stuff . if its huge bump put hemoroid cream on it every 3 hours . if it has pus DO NOT POP!!!!!! instead take cutip soak in alcohol on hold it on the pimple until the alcohol soaks up the puss do not press hard just hold the cutip with alcohol over the pimple, keep resoaking in alcohol until the pus is out. after its clean put aloe gel on the pimple to prevent any bacteria to reform again . AKA pus pimple
Use Clean and Clear Persa-Gel 10 tonight. It dries up the pimples. Put a dot of product on each pimple, and overnight, most will be dried up. It's the only acne product I use because I'm inpatient.

Then, I would use a concealer. Concealers can be pretty thick, and they usually stay on well in water as long as you're not touching your face.
Well I have this stuff that like makes zits less noticable like in a night and its called ';clear zit'; or ';zap zit'; and i got it a dollar general.. get that!!!!! its only 1 buck! lol OR u could put foundation on. LOL!

The bangs are actually probably what is causing your acne. The oil from your hair is irritating your acne further.

You should keep your bangs back until the problem clears up. Try washing your face at least twice a day, and there are many choices of skin products in a drugstore. Cruise the skincare aisle!
Best thing you can do is keep your bangs off of your face, and make sure you're using Proactive in the morning and the evening.
If it gets really serious ask your doctor about Accutane. It will make you moody and cause birth defects but it works.
Go through the skin care aisle, and find something with BENZOIL PEROXIDE in it.
use conch nacar its oyster bleach and it works awsome:):):
i am having the same problem right now

  • How do you get pimples and zits off your face?

I know that you could you proactiv but is there anything eles thats good for you because proactiv gives you rashes. How do you get pimples and zits off your face?
Not really, You Can but the medicine on it or go to a dermatologist. Popping it leaves a huge mark so don't ever do that. You can use ivory soap or water to clean your pores.

Hope it helpsHow do you get pimples and zits off your face?
    Are you allergic to Neutrogena?

Neutrogena has TONS of products to make acne go away. One is very inexpensive and works FASTER than Proactive. GOOD LUCK!

    -LEXI
well everyones skin is different so proactiv may not give you a rash, but i use bare minerals makeup and it really helped get rid of my acne! try it! =)
    POP!
ASPIRIN MASKS! Use aloe if you want to with it
Try Biore' Pore Minimizing Foam $6 it works really well for my skin and my skin is impossible it should work.
Some acne treatments like proactiv and acnefree make your skin worse before it dramatically reduces acne. That is your skin reacting to the new chemicals your putting into it. You could try proactiv again and wait a little longer. Also drinking water also helps clear your face. Don't touch your face with your hands and wash your hands before doing any makeup. Always wash your face before you go to bed. I like Acnefree Terminator spot-treatment and Neutrogena's spot treatments and face washes. =)

What is the best way to get rid of zits?

Recently, I did eat alot of choclate and pop but I have 5 tiny red zits and my complextion is usually perfect! Help! What is the best way to get rid of zits?
See a dermatologist...it's the best wayWhat is the best way to get rid of zits?
go to a spa and thell take care of it
keep super hot salt water on it for about 20 min.

this will soften the zit and hopefully realease the pore plug. this will make it so that the zit wont last as long.

i would also get some 10% benziol peroxcide (sp) and apply every day after you wash your face..

    hope this helps (:
Slaicilic Acid and benzoyl... but not together. Just use a good cleanser and use one of these (you can find at any Kmart or drugstore) and then if your skin gets too dry you can use a hypoallergenic moisturizer (Neutrogena is a great line.)

Clean and Clear is a good line as well. And inexpensive. Every item is under 10 bucks.
Don't eat sweets. Wash your face with mild soap.,and then rinse it off, and dry it cut a tomato and put it on your face where you broke out. I know it feels funny and a little bit weird, but it works.(seeds and all)Its got a lot of acid in it. For about 10 minutes then rinse your face with warm water you will see a change within 3 to 5 days.
i use a home made recipe passed down from woman to woman put some peanut butter and relish ans orange juice on your face it might look gross but it really works if it dose then email me at corbinblueluver@hotmail.com
to get rid of zits is to use half of a lemon and squeeze the juice and add a little baking soda not to much and put on the zits before you go to bed.
    buy some cream.

    use it.

    wash your face.
chocolate doesn't necessarily cause skin problems, but as for fixing them Clearasil ultra works miracles :)
my advice to you would be to

    a)

45 minutes before bed, wash your face.

then get a HALF a pea sized dot of

toothpaste on your hand, it may burn..

but keep it on. then the next morning when

you wake up, there you go. ... MAKE sure it

    is dry before bed.

    b)

get about a cup of water in a plastic bag,

or cup with a lid on it. [ if there is not lid,

just put foil over it after you add everything. ]

then put as much salt as you can in the water.

just make sure the water is really salty.

pop the zit, [ get your 2 nails, push them together

making it alot of pressure on the zit, forcing them

to release the white thing in the middle ] then

use your finger, or a cuetip, and put the saltwater

    into the zit.
Drink plenty of water %26amp; keep off the junk food

If you know its chocolate that causes it - avoid it in the future
Use this!!!!!! Neautrogena's Rapid Clear Acne Gel It works excellento. And you can find it in a store near you :]
Drink a lot of water plus use this avocado face mask daily ;Mash the meat of the avocado into a creamy texture. Massage into the face and neck . Leave on for 15 minutes and gently rinse off.
wash your face AT LEAST once a day, especially if you've been eating greasy food or wash it right after you pop a pimple.

Try clearasil. It works for me.
    Wash your face with saltwater.

The tricky part about acne is that the problem can actually become worse if you overmedicate. That's because acne medication can overdry the skin, causing a boost in your skin's Sebum (oil) production. This results in...you guessed it - more acne.

So what's the long term solution? Find gentler solutions or even natural acne cures that won't shock your body into more breakouts. Here's what I recommend:

    - Use a glycerin based facewash. Glycerin is gentler and will balance the ph levels in your skin.

    - For body acne, try using an antibacterial soap to slowly dry out the skin. If your skin gets too dry, switch to a moisterizing soap like Dove to counterbalance the effect.

    - Wash your face only 2 times a day max and gently pat dry with a towel.

    - Use a gentle face moisterizer if the glycerin based face wash drys you out too much.

    - Eat almonds, fiber, drink lots of water and avoid excess sugar intake.

    - If acne medication isn't working or causing new breakouts, try applying egg whites to the pimples at night before bed. This natural remedy works great.

    - One of my favorite natural skin conditioners is wearing an ';oatmeal mask';. The oatmeal with smooth your skin while simultaneously absorb toxins and oils from your pores.

    - Lemon juice also dries up pimples and kills any bacteria in the infection.

For more great remedies, check out the Source link Below.

    Best of Luck!
    heres what i do:

    1) apply nuetrogena oil-eliminating astringement (i think that's what it's called, and if you buy it look for a blue-green liquid in a bottle). this disinfects the zit and if it stings that means it's working. i just put it on a cotton ball and apply it to my zit.

    2) apply nuetrogena on-the-spot acne treatment. it comes in a little white tube. just put it on your finger and apply it to your zits. don't get this on your clothes because it stains.

this always helps me and i think you should try it.

my friend also told me putting toothpaste on zits helps.
no joke.... proactive does work... and it works fast! but you can also try lemon... morning and night before going to bed but after washing your face... rub lemon on the zit (not hard) just to get the juice exposed to the skin.. it might sting a lil but that just means its working...

this works miracles... but dont do it toooo often cuz then it does irritate your skin depending on sensitivity. it even prevents em...
Calamine lotion has the same drying effect like toothpaste so you can apply it overnight and wash the next day. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
wet a Q-tip and dip in baking soda.use every once in awhile.dont use to much though.
search google for home remedies on zits theres a ton thats why i cant list them all

    Zits ?!?!?!?!?

If someone had a whitehead on their cheek would you tell them or just leave it be?Zits ?!?!?!?!?
let it be, unless it was on my hubby, then I'd pop it!Zits ?!?!?!?!?
if it was someone i dont know...then let it be. but if it was my friends or family, i would either tell them or just pop it!

    Zits.......?

I have some what bad ache. And I use Proactive, but it's NOT really working for me. I don't know what to do? What else can I use? If anyone can help me, thanks :)Zits.......?
Try Differin 0.1% gel or Accutane pills. It should help you.Zits.......?
I know of several people that have tried Proactive, and did not work for them. It is very drying to the skin, and has no long term benefits. I have a sister with acne, she has tried everything including Proactive. The only thing that worked for her was Arbonne clear advantage system. If you want more infomation on how to get some, just email me, I can ask my sister.
ok damn. I've been through proactive too %26amp;%26amp; a longer list probably lol. So, straight to the point. Use Nature's cure(about $9). Nature's cure has chewable, flavorless pills that you take day %26amp;%26amp; night that are natural to stop your hormones plus you also have the odorless cream to apply. if you don't want your body to depend on pills o just dont want all that work then defiantly use zapzyt(about $4) which is just %26amp;%26amp; only a strong very effective odorless cream-doesnt need to be applied everyday| only when you think.
    Hi my name is kenny

HOW TO MAKE AN ASPIRIN MASK:

The BHA content in the humble aspirin pill is a powerful agent against blemishes, and using this as a scrub/mask will leave you with smooth, even skin. It is recommended to use this once a week, but you can increase the frequency of use if necessary.

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>

Step 1: Take 6 uncoated aspirin and break each into halves. Put in a small cup or a lid.

Step 2: Add 3-4 drops of warm/hot water, and use a stick to smush the aspirin around. If it's too dry and doesn't dissolve, add 1 drop of water at a time until it forms into a thick white paste.

Step 3: Spread thickly onto your face. Leave for 10-15 minutes. You'll know it's ready when bits of white powder start falling off your face.

Step 4: As you wash it off with warm water, gently massage it into your skin. You'll feel your skin to be very smooth and even.

Step 5: Pat face gently dry. You should be feeling radiant and soft!
I use this stuff that comes in a white bottle from Bath and Body Works, and it is Patricia Wexler dermatology. It works really really good on my skin. Proactiv uses the ingredient Benzoyal Peroxide, which is a chemical used to treat acne, and I used to use a face wash with Benzoyal Peroxide. It worked for awhile, but then it started drying my face out and I had a really bad allergic reaction to it once (school was NOT fun that day). In this stuff by Patricia Wexler, it uses Salacylic Acid, which is another popular ingredient in treating acne. Salacylic Acid works a lot better on my face, and my skin is really clearing up. It also doesn't dry out my face, and I haven't ever had a bad reaction to it. This stuff from Bath and Body Works is $16 for a bottle, but it lasts awhile. I hope that it works for you.
Proactiv didn't work for me either. For the time being, go to Walmart and buy something with Benzoyl Peroxide in it and try to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist so you can get a prescription.
Most people who don't find results with Proactive have VERY sensative skin and they react to the hyper-drying that happens from Proactive.

I used it for months and my skin only got worse. Trust me, I sympathize.

I've tried just about everything, Murad, Proactive, old wive's tales, you name it.

Right now the best solution for me is to use Cetaphyil- its a verry very mild soap type product that you'll find in the beauty aisle at the store. Walmart, Target, and most grocery stores will carry this.

It comes in a few different varieties- there are 2 kinds of liquid and 1 type of bar soap. I personally prefer the liquid with the blue label.

Cetaphyil is reccomended by doctors when a patient cannot use soap-based-products after surgery (etc) but still needs to clean areas.

Cetaphyil is non-drying and non pore clogging. The greatest part, you can put a thin layer on your skin and leave it there w/o wiping it off. The residue actually turns into an emolient and softens %26amp; moisturizes your skin. Neat, huh?

(It does NOT exfoliate, so you will need to do that with a gentle face cloth periodically.)

I've had nothing but good results from it!!

On a different note, I also have found that using a tanning bed periodically (once every other week or so) REALLY Clears up my skin.

For those of us who have combination skin, we can benefit from good UV rays (yes there are good ones!) and the exposure to the intense tanning lights, will help our skin dry out - but not to a irritating level.

The tanning bed dries your skin, but as long as you're responsible and moisturize and you don't stay in too long, you shouldn't have any side effects from the tanning. Once every other week should work, to help reduce the oils produced by your skin. :)
ProActiv didn't work for me either. I found this regimine the most effective- after ONE WEEK my skin is clear! I started last week, and today I have only 4 pimples on my entire face, and they're very small! Every morning, splash your face with hot water about 10 times to open up your pores. Then wash your face with Noxema Cream Cleanser. Then rinse your face with ice cold water. It will close the pores so bacteria can't enter them. Then do the same thing every night. Change your pillowcase EVERY OTHER DAY. Sleep on one side one night, and then sleep on the other side the next night. Then change it! You wouldn't BELIEVE how much that helps! If you keep the same pillowcase, your just burying your face in bacteria that builds up on your pillow from your hair and body! Sounds pretty gross, doesn't it? That's a major contribution to acne- bacteria getting into your pores. Also, drink GREEN TEA every single day! Even if it's diet. I drink Guers Green Tea. It blocks an enzyme that testosterone forms. Testosterone is a male hormone, but females have a small amount of it in them- testosterone also contributes to acne flare ups. Finally, drink plenty of water (8 glasses a day) and eat healthy. That always helps your body. Do this for a week, and you'll be amazed at the improvement! It works so much better than ProActiv, and for the most part it's natural. The cleanser is probably $4, and if your school has Green Tea, drink it every lunch! I hope I helped you!!

Also- Salicylic Acid cleansers really don't work. And DO NOT use Benzoyl Peroxide cleansers! They will dry your skin out incredibly much it will take a week of drenching your face with lotion to get it back to normal! If you have back acne however, use Clean and Clear Persa-Gel 10. Your back skin is rougher than your face, so it can take benzoyl peroxide. Use that stuff for a week and your back acne will be gone too!
    DONT use proactive

use aloe vera. Go buy yourself a organic cleanser...(from Whole foods..or trader joes) and use that on your face. Afterwards, get an aloe plant and rub al the juice all over your face. It might itch a little...but it's good. It cleared up my acne scars, existing pimples, and made my skin soft and lesss oily. Do it. and trust me it'll help you! it's all natural nothing to worry about

good luck and don't worry too much
Accutane. You take it by mouth. I too used Proactiv, but it screwed up my face.

Talk to your dermatologist about Accutane. It seriously is the miracle medicine. I had acne, and 5 months later I haven't had a pimple in God knows how long.
  • tvs
  • Zits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

OK now I have a huge formal on friday and my face is full of zits. what should I do to get them all gone by friday? Ihave tried clearisil, oxy, and proactive but non seem to work, but proactive helps me get rid of them but two days later they are back and more come too. Please Help Me Soon!!!!!!!Zits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
splash face with hot water(open pores) then wash with neutrogena face cleanser(gets rid of oil dirt blackheads makeup and acne) then splash with cold water(close pores so that more bacteria cant get in).. once in morning and once at night..

i do this all and my face is really clear

(proactiv doesnt even work this fast) my sister uses it and mine is clearer than hers.. good luck hun!Zits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Wash your face at least three times a day (using regular soap) in addition to your clearsil, oxy, and proactive. Try to avoid touching your face, your fingers have oils in them.
    Call a dermatologist!
You cant rid them in 2 days. but try using face wraps that unclog pores. You can buy a tube of it at cvs by lancome or loreol. Or, just stick to one of the brands you mentioned and stop changing. It doesnt take a short while.
This may be too late to help you this time but go to www.notaquitter.com and buy some Silver Cream. Apply it at night and you will be amazed at how fast your face clears up and stays clear. It is an all natural product so the drug companies cannot make lots of $$ off it like they do ProActive and that is why you will not see it on the drug store shelf near you. Good Luck with your Formal
well I don't know if anything will get rid of them by friday, but try neutrogena oil-free acne wash.
Have you tried the mask that comes along with the proactive? It helps alot to do the whole overnight thing, also there is the spot treatment from Clearasil that works nicely. And i have the same problem when i stop using proactive you just have to be consistent with your skin in order to keep it clear! good luck!
I have a solution but its not a quick fix. I use to have bad acne when I was a teenager and one day I heard a celebrity talking about how he used PURE ALOE VERA. I tried it and it works and its not expensive. Try it
Don't use a bunch of different products all together. Drink plenty of water and whatever you do, don't pick at them or your skin. Keep your hands away from your face. If you can get an appointment with a dermatologist, that's your best bet. Good luck!
steam ur face. then when ur pores open up (10-25 min) clean them out with a cleanser. or rinse them really good with water. then afterl ike 20 min.put onitment on htem. do this every day and u will be good!!!
    try any of these:

put toothpasts on it before going to bed(leave it on overnight) because it dries it out

    use a mask

wash your face A LOT(but it you do that use one for sensitive skin because you dont want it to hurt you face)
try clean and clear:invisible blimish treatment they sell it at walmart......

    good luck
first of all never use proactive again! when u use it once u have to use it forever so forget that. just get a facial or go to a professional
there is this sort-of cream calles zepol...it is usually used like vapo-rub( for when your congested) but if you put some on a pimple for 15 minutes then wash it off and put an ice cube on top of the pimple untill the ice melts on your hand...next morning like you never had a pimple and more wont come... because the zepol opened the pores and literally sucked out all the nasty grease and puss...kinda like a sponge... and then the ice cleans the pores and closes it up!!!!

good luck ........have fun at your formal!!!
